Description
This is a disused lime kiln, likely built in the mid-19th century, probably between 1840 and 1859. Constructed of snecked rubble with red brick dressings around the fire area, it is situated on a hillside and now partially overgrown at the rear. The kiln is privately owned and is considered to be of industrial archaeological interest, despite being recorded as derelict. It is located within the Ardminnan townland, within a conservation area, and represents a former rural industrial site. References can be found in T.
