32 Milltown Road, Antrim, Co Antrim, BT41 4NW

This is a single-storey, gabled house situated on Milltown Road, Antrim, within the Kilbegs townland. It is believed to have been constructed between 1820 and 1839 and appears on Ordnance Survey maps from 1829 and 1832. Originally a thatched cottage, it has undergone significant modernization and is not considered to have particular architectural or historic interest.

The building has rendered walls with a dry-dash finish, a smooth rendered plinth, and a concrete tiled roof. A modern rustic brick chimney is positioned on the ridge, while PVC rainwater goods are also present. The windows are modern rectangular timber fixed lights and casements. Bargeboards are fitted to the overhanging eaves of each gable. The gable on the right-hand side has a single attic window, and the left-hand gable is blank with an asymmetrical roofline. The two-storey rear elevation has a short, lean-to roofed return.

The house faces south-east onto the main road within a small hamlet, set back slightly with a small, concrete-surfaced garden enclosed by modern steel railings. The walls were given a modern dry-dashed finish before 1971, and the thatched roof was replaced with tiles sometime after 1971. The initial 1971 survey described it as a thatched cottage with modern dashed walls, a brick chimney stack, and four plain-sashed windows and a modern part-glazed door on the front elevation.
