Mount View, Beside 54 Ballytromery Road, Crumlin, Co Antrim, BT29 4HB

Mount View is a derelict early Victorian house, built in the Georgian style, dating from between 1840 and 1859. The precise year of construction is unknown, though it appears on an Ordnance Survey map of 1858, replacing an earlier building shown on a map from 1832-3. Today, only a portion of three walls remains standing to door head level, along with a single derelict window. The main entrance faces south. Originally, it was described as a two-storey, three-bay house, harled and whitened, with three chimneys and sixteen-pane sash windows, four panes wide. A modern porch at the centre of the front facade was later added, impacting the original appearance. The building is situated in a rural area, set back slightly from the road, with a small garden in front and a farmyard to the rear. A new house stands to the east, and gabled outbuildings of no architectural merit are located to the west. The building is privately owned and currently recorded as derelict.
