Description

This is a single, shallow segmental span reinforced concrete bridge built in 1931, carrying the Jordanstown to Monkstown Road over the Belfast to Ballymena railway line. It appears to have been replaced by a similar reinforced concrete structure around 1994. An original concrete date plaque from 1931 is embedded in a brick pier to the northeast, alongside a more recent plaque indicating that the bridge was widened in 1994. The structure is not considered sufficiently significant for full listing, but a partial record has been taken as it was surveyed in a previous assessment.
