Description

Semi-detached two-bay two-storey (with attic) Arts & Crafts style house, built c. 1914, located to the north side of Lenamore Avenue. Rectangular-on-plan with two-bay two-storey extension to west, single-storey pitched return to north-east and sunroom to north-west. Roofs pitched and tiled with timber bargeboards; roughcast chimneys with projection to base; original clay pots. Walls are painted roughcast with corbelled eaves. Square-headed replacement uPVC casement windows with original stained glass to toplights; concrete sills. Principal elevation faces south and is abutted to left by extension. From left, bay one comprises bowed window at ground floor with flat rolled lead roof over moulded cornice, single window at first floor; bay two contains original timber panelled entrance door with glazed lights, surmounted by tiled monopitch canopy on timber brackets, single window at first floor, dormer to attic. Bay three projects and is gabled; bowed window (as before) at ground floor, single window at first floor, small louvered opening to attic. Bay four contains window at ground and first floor, dormer to attic shared with adjoining house (HB21/11/007B). West gable is abutted by two-storey extension; projecting flue to centre, single window to right at ground floor. Abutted to left by replacement uPVC sunroom on roughcast plinth. North elevation abutted at left by return containing square-headed replacement uPVC glazed door and at right (to extension) by uPVC sunroom. Exposed section of ground floor contains two windows; single window to left and small window to centre at first floor, skylight to roof. Extension contains single window to left at first floor. East elevation abutted by 8 Lenamore Avenue (HB21/11/007B). Setting Site bounded to all sides by mature garden and hedging. Access from Lenamore Avenue at south.
