House. C16, remodelled in mid C19. Limestone rubble, painted ashlar gables, slate roof with brick stack to centre ridge and rendered stack to left, shared with The Manor, Hamp Street (qv) to left. Formerly 2-unit through-passage plan with side wings, now double-depth plan. 2 storeys; 2-window range. The wing to left (west) was demolished and rebuilt c1840, now a separate dwelling (The Manor). The wing to right was demolished mid C20 and the right return is brick with C20 windows. A gabled porch to right has shouldered Ham Hill stone coping with base of a finial to the apex over a shield in a square recess; double C20 doors have a label mould over a Tudor-arched opening. Mid C19 leaded 3-light casement windows; at eaves level to right of centre and in a half dormer to left of centre; similar windows to ground floor covered by a C20 conservatory. INTERIOR: remodelled and reroofed mid C19 when left wing (The Manor) was built. Very thick wall to rear of front rooms indicates the back of the former building and an arch similar to that of porch is opposite front door to rear of former through passage. Tall C19 Tudor arches, now blocked, led into former west wing.
