Description

This barn, located about 35 meters north-north-east of the Church of the Holy Trinity, dates from around 1830. It is built of ham stone rubble and features a Welsh slate roof with stepped coped gables and gabletted finials. The gable facing the street has a segmental arched loft door, while the sides contain larger segmental arched doorways and a throughway towards the north end. Inside, there is a brick base to the walls and eight bays supported by braced king-post roof trusses. This barn is particularly valued for its contribution to the street scene around the Church of the Holy Trinity and Ash School.
