Description
Wardens Lodge is a detached cottage, possibly from the 18th century, located in Kingstone Village. It is constructed of ham stone rubble and features a Welsh slate roof with stepped coped gables and brick chimney stacks at each end. The building has two storeys and consists of four bays. The windows are horizontal-bar casements with three lights, and the lower ones have baystoned lintels. Between the second and third bays, there is a four-flush panel door that is sheltered by a shingle and timber hood. On the east gable, there is a two-storey, two-bay extension with a cedar shingle roof that is half hipped at the east end. This roof has eyebrow sweeps over the upper windows and includes matching windows and a door with a hood on the east gable. The interior has not been seen.
