Description

The Dobe chest tomb, located in the churchyard three metres west of the west wall of the Church of Saint Peter, dates from the mid to late 17th century. It is made of Doulting stone, with its base buried. The tomb features flat slab sides that are incised and a heavy flat top with rounded edges. It commemorates Jane Dobe, who died in 1664.
