Description

Higher Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates back to the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed from random rubble with a tile roof, featuring a stone eaves cornice and coped verges, one of which has a carved ornamental finial. The building has two brick stacks and stands three storeys high with four bays. It includes two and three-light moulded stone mullioned windows that have stopped labels, except for two two-light windows on the second floor directly under the eaves, which do not have labels. The central door opening is framed by a moulded stone surround with a flat pointed head and a drip, leading to a Gothick door.
