Description
Nos 1-3 Riverside are a rank of three cottages, likely built in the 17th century and originally two houses. They are constructed from random rubble and feature moulded stone eaves cornices, coped verges, and plain tile roofs. The cottages have four large front-facing gabled dormers, each with copings and saddle stones, along with ornamental stone finials, three of which have been recently renewed. There are brick stacks, and the buildings are two storeys high with an attic, comprising seven bays. The windows are 2, 3, and 4-light moulded stone mullioned types, set beneath stopped labels. There are three door openings; two have moulded stone surrounds with flat pointed arch heads and labels above, leading to plank doors. A further plank door in a wooden frame to the right has a label over it, likely a later addition.
