Description

Shute Cottage is a house from the early 19th century, rendered to resemble ashlar, likely over brick, with a very shallow pitched tiled roof and brick stacks at the gable ends. The building has a plan consisting of two cells and a cross passage, and it stands three storeys high with an attic and two bays. There is a 20th-century flat-roofed dormer added, while all other windows are 18-pane sash windows featuring marginal glazing bars. The central entrance has a semi-circular doorcase, a fanlight, and a six-panel door.
