Description

East Lambrook Farmhouse, now a house, dates from the 17th century. It is constructed of ashlar and rubble stone with coped verges and features three ashlar chimney stacks, one rising from the eaves. The two-storey, four-bay farmhouse has 2, 3, and 4-light stone-mullioned windows with iron casements and stopped labels to the ground floor. A central doorway, positioned directly below the central stack, has a moulded stone surround and label, and a 20th-century ribbed door. A pair of ashlar gate piers with moulded caps and pineapple finials stand to the right of the house. There is an attic window on the right return. The interior includes a framed ceiling on the ground floor, two fireplaces with wooden bressumers, an 18th-century fireplace, and stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops.
