Description

Rock House is a house dating from the early 19th century, likely built on the footprint of an earlier dwelling. The exterior is pebble-dashed with prominent quoin strips and a hipped slate roof, featuring an external stack on the left side. The house is two storeys high and three bays wide, with 16-pane sash windows set in slightly raised, lugged, cement surrounds. A centrally positioned door is sheltered by a Tuscan porch with a split pediment and panelled reveals. The porch features a glazed fanlight, a 19th-century medieval-style studded door, a neo-classical lion mask, and a ring knocker. The interior of the building has not been inspected.
