Description

The Manor House, located 10 metres north of Cole Manor, is an early 18th-century house. It is constructed of local stone with squared details, featuring Doulting stone dressings and a double Roman clay tile roof with coped gables. Brick chimney stacks are also present. The house is arranged in an "L" shape, with two storeys and five bays. Windows are mullioned and architraved with two lights, featuring moulded flat hoods over the ground floor openings. Originally leaded, some windows now have iron casements with elaborately worked internal catches. The central entrance has a 20th-century boarded door set within a moulded architrave surround, topped with an anse-de-panier moulded stone hood supported by small console brackets, matching the detail on the east side of the house. A north projection appears to be of the same date as the main body of the house. The interior remains unexamined.
