Description
Gate piers and flanking walls, probably from the late 18th century, are located 10 metres east of Cole Manor. They are constructed from red brick and local stone. The gate piers are approximately 500 millimetres square and nearly 2 metres high, featuring brick with moulded stone caps, steps, and tall necks topped with ball finials. The walls are made of cut and squared stone, standing about 1.6 metres high, with curved sweeps leading into the gate piers and at the ends. These walls connect at one end to the northeast corner of Cole Hill House, with brick piers at intervals that have conical stone caps, extending in total for about 20 metres. These features are important to the setting of the house.
