Description
The former granary or dovecote, now used as a stable, is located about 40 metres south of Littlefields in South Petherton. It is likely from the 18th century and is constructed from cut and squared Ham stone. The building features a double Roman clay tiled roof with stepped coped gables and gabletted finials, indicating it may have originally had thatch. It is a single two-storey structure. The north gable has a small two-light casement window positioned high, while the south gable includes a loft door. On the west wall, there is a 20th-century window beneath a timber lintel and a wide door set in a heavy frame, topped with a timber pitched-roof hood. The interior is not accessible. This building has significant group value with Littlefields.
