Description

Longland House is an early 19th-century house situated in Chilton Polden, near Broadway. The construction consists of coursed and squared rubble, with a pantile roof and brick stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a symmetrical façade with three bays. It features 12-pane sash windows, with the right-hand bay containing painted false sash windows. The central entrance has a six-panelled door and a fanlight with radiating glazing, sheltered by a stone Roman Doric portico with a moulded cornice. The front elevation aligns with the road, and a large 20th-century bow window has been added to the ground floor.
