Description
The Methodist Church, dated 1809, features coursed and squared rubble with rusticated ashlar quoins. It has a coped gable front and a double-Roman tile roof that runs at right angles to the facade. The church is two stories high and has three bays, with sash windows that have semi-circular heads in plain stone surrounds, highlighted by keystones and imposts. There is a plain band at the first floor level and above the first floor windows, with the lower windows displaying painted lettering that reads "Methodist Church." The central door opening is framed by a chamfered stone surround with an emphasised keystone, leading to double three-panelled doors topped by a triangular pediment on cut stone brackets. To the right side of the forecourt is a rubble wall with dressed capping, and there are central ashlar gate piers with a single railed gate, each rail ending in a spearhead. The interior is galleried and predominantly features late 19th-century elements.
