Description

No. 22 High Street is an early 19th-century house featuring rubble construction with an ashlar frontage. It has a double span slate roof with coped verges and two ashlar stacks topped with moulded caps. The symmetrical frontage consists of two storeys and attics, with five bays and 12-pane sash windows set in plain stone surrounds. There is a sill band below the first floor openings. The former central door opening, which is now blocked by a sash window that matches the style of the others, has a plain wooden surround and a 20th-century wooden triangular pediment above it. The door opening is located on the right return and features a 20th-century glazed door with a flat wooden hood above.
