Description

Greystones is a house dating from the 17th century, which was refronted in the early 19th century. It is constructed of random rubble and features a triple-Roman tile roof with two brick stacks. The building has two storeys and four bays, with 16-pane sash windows on the first floor and three 12-pane sash windows in plain stone surrounds on the ground floor. To the right, there is a single-storey, flat-roofed canted bay that serves as a shop front, featuring large 4-pane sash windows in fluted surrounds on each face and a moulded cornice at the top. The door opening is framed by a plain stone surround and contains a six-panelled door, topped with a flat stone hood that is fluted around the edge and supported by cut stone brackets.
