Description
The Little Angel Public House is a building from the 19th century located on Flowergate. It has a front elevation that is two storeys high and rendered, hiding an earlier structure that is believed to include 12th-century masonry from a castle. The front features two double-hung sash windows with glazing bars, along with a modern public house door and windows. There is a one-storey modern extension facing Brunswick Street, which conceals older 18th-century brick premises that have a steep pantiled roof and modern asbestos tiles, along with one flat-topped dormer. This extension has three windows with flush frames and double-hung sashes with glazing bars, while the modern additions are rendered.
The Little Angel Public House and the adjacent properties numbered 20 to 23 form a group with the buildings numbered 1 to 3 and 8 and 19 in Abbey Inn Yard. Additionally, the Little Angel Public House is grouped with the Mounting Block.
