Description
The Grange is a house that consists of two sections, with the left wing dating back to the 17th century and being remodeled in the early to mid-19th century when a taller wing was added to the right. The building is constructed of sandstone and features Welsh slate roofs, along with end and ridge chimneys. It stands two storeys high.
The 17th-century section has three bays and is characterized by segmental headed sash windows with glazing bars set in flush wood architraves. The windows have stone voussoirs and cills, and a larger window on the right may indicate where a former entrance was located. Inside, the ceiling beams have tongued chamfer stops.
The 19th-century part has two bays and features stone steps leading to the entrance on the left. The door consists of nine vertical panels and has an oblong fanlight with margin lights, topped by a flat hood supported by small brackets. On the ground floor, there is a shallow segmental arched tripartite sash window. All windows in this section also have glazing bars, flush wood architraves, stone voussoirs, and cills.
