Description

Newby Methodist Church, built in 1826 as indicated by a plaque over the door, is a Wesleyan Methodist Chapel. It is a small, one-storey building constructed of red local brick and covered with modern concrete pantiles. The church features two fixed-light windows that have glazing bars, flat gauged brick arches, and stone cills. The plain door is fitted with good iron hinges and is framed by a wooden architrave beneath a similar brick arch.
