Description

Castle Cottage is an early 19th-century building located on the west side of The Bar. It stands two storeys high and features a roughcast exterior over a rubble base, with a shaped stone plinth. The cottage has two windows with moulded surrounds that do not have glazing bars. The entrance includes a six-panel door with a moulded surround and a rectangular fanlight above. To the left of the entrance, there is a cut quoin, and a brick stack is present on the roof. Castle Cottage is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 8 (consecutive) and The Bar.
