Description
This is a dovecote and cart-house located approximately 20 metres southeast of the Old Rectory, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared stone, ashlar, and red brick, topped with a graduated stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and one bay, featuring quoins. There are two cart openings with brick columns between them, and two stone lintels beneath segmental brick relieving arches. These openings are infilled with stone and a 19th-century board door. On the first floor, there is a central board door. The right side of the building has a shaped kneeler and stone coping, along with brick pigeon openings with ledges in the gable. Inside, there are brick nesting boxes. This structure is included for its group value.
