Description
Bank View Farmhouse is a house that has been converted into three dwellings. It dates from the early 18th century and has undergone later additions and alterations, including changes made in 1851 and an increase in roof height. The building is constructed of reddish-brown brick and features a roof made of pantiles and stone slates, with ashlar kneelers and coping.
The farmhouse has a lobby entry plan with a range at the rear and stands two storeys tall, with three windows on the first floor. The ground floor has a rendered plinth and an off-centre entrance that is sheltered by a 19th-century round-arched porch, which contains a six-panel door. The ground floor windows are 16-pane sashes set beneath soldier and header arches. A two-course band runs along the first floor, where the windows are 12-pane Yorkshire sashes positioned under elliptical and cambered heads. The roof's lower course is finished in stone slates, and the building features both end and ridge stacks.
