Description

This is a 17th-century building on Church Street, with later alterations. It is two storeys high with an attic, and has a pantile roof. The building is rendered and retains its timber-frame construction with a jettied upper storey. The upper storey has two windows with wooden double-hung sash windows and glazing bars. On the ground floor, it features a bow window to the left with glazing bars, and a single window to the right, also with glazing bars. There is a plain door. A later flat-topped dormer has been added. The building forms a group with numbers 159 and 160, the Friends Meeting House, and numbers 162 to 164.
