Description

Two houses, now offices, were built in the early 19th century. They are located on the west side of High Street, Northallerton. The houses are constructed of brown brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a Welsh slate roof. Each house is two stories and two bays wide. A distinctive feature is the corner entrance to each house, which has a round-arched doorway with a header arch and a door of six fielded panels, topped by a fanlight with Gothic glazing bars. Adjacent to each doorway is a segmental bow window with a 16-pane sash, fluted pilasters, a sill band, and a flat lead roof. The first floor has a sill band and 16-pane sash windows with flat arches. The roofline includes square kneelers and an ashlar coping. A central ridge stack is visible, featuring a table-like design.
