Description

No. 230 High Street is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century, with some later alterations. It is constructed of painted brick in Flemish bond and has a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has two bays. On the ground floor to the left, there is a door with six fielded panels set in a doorcase featuring Tuscan pilasters and a cornice. To the right, there is a canted bay window. On the first floor, there are four-pane sash windows with flush exposed sash boxes, ashlar sills, and flat arches. The roof features shaped kneelers and ashlar coping, while there are brick end stacks, with the one on the right being rendered.
