Description
Broomfield is a building dating from around 1800, located on Stainsacre Lane. It is three storeys tall, constructed in ashlar, with the top storey being a dummy featuring painted trompe l'oeil windows. The building has two stone chimneys at the gable ends and a slate roof with capped gables and kneelers. There are two windows with moulded flush frames, double-hung sashes with glazing bars. A central long round-headed staircase window includes a keystone and blocks, with Gothic glazing. The entrance features a modern door set within a round-headed blocked architrave, also with a keystone, and a blocked fanlight above. To the right, there is one small Gothic glazed window and a modern casement window.
