Description

Moor House Barn is a late 18th-century threshing barn located on the east side of Bank Road in Hovingham. It is constructed of limestone rubble and features a pantile roof. The barn has a tall double board door set in a quoined opening, with a stable door to the right. There are two rows of oblong vents, and the gable ends have coping with shaped kneelers. Inside, the barn has collar and tie-beam principal trusses that are halved and pegged at the apex. There is an additional outshut on the west gable end, but it is not of special interest.
