Description

Hovingham Lodge is a house built in 1829 for the Worsley family, now divided into four dwellings. The building is of limestone ashlar construction with a Westmorland slate roof. It is two storeys high and consists of four bays. A central entrance features a double-leaf, half-glazed door set within a Tuscan porch and framed by a keyed stone architrave. Flanking the entrance are tripartite unequal sash windows. The first floor has sashes with glazing bars and sills, all under keyed wedge lintels. The roof is hipped, with stacks rising through the rear pitch.
