Description

The castle wall attached to the north corner of Clifton Castle is likely of medieval origin, with a gateway added around the year 1800. Constructed from rubblestone, the wall stands approximately 2.5 meters tall and features an arched opening to the north, flanked by ashlar piers topped with pyramidal caps. This wall is believed to be part of the original castle structure.
