Description
Nos 1 to 15 (odd) and Nos 2 to 16 (even) on King's Street, including Nos 5 and 7 Otley Road, are a pair of terraces of model workers' cottages built in the mid-19th century. These stone cottages are two storeys high and feature a slate roof with blocked eaves. The doors have been modernised and are set within segmental arches. Each cottage has one window on each floor, complete with stone sills and lintels, and they previously had external shutters. The windows include a mix of sash and new casement styles. At the Otley Road end of both sides of the street, there are moulded stone panels with the street name inscribed in Roman lettering on Nos 1 and 2.
