Description
This building consists of two shops, located at numbers 61 and 63 Micklegate. It likely dates from the 18th century, although it was re-roofed, or potentially from the mid-19th century. The structure is built of brown brick with a pitched slate roof topped with tile cresting. A 19th-century corniced brick stack is also present. There are two storeys, featuring six bays with flush-framed sash windows, each accented with brick voussoirs. Number 61 has a mid-19th century shop front with a wooden modillioned cornice. Number 63 currently has a modern shop front.
