Description

This is a late 18th- and early 19th-century house situated on the north side of Low Green in Catterick. The house is constructed of coursed rubble with a 20th-century pantile roof. It is two storeys high and features a single bay. A six-panel door is located on the left-hand side, set below an overlight and sheltered by a brick flat arch. Sash windows with glazing bars are present, also set beneath flat brick arches. A brick stack is positioned at the right end of the building. Part of the house has been incorporated into number 42. It is included on the list for its contribution to the group value of buildings in the area.
