Description

5 Low Skellgate is a mid-19th century building constructed of colour-washed brick with a pantiled roof. It stands two storeys tall and features one sash window on the first floor. The building boasts a particularly elaborate contemporary shopfront, which includes pilasters, intricately carved consoles supporting the cornice, and glazing bars. The shopfront also has clustered pilasters with Tower of the Winds capitals and unusually carved blocks above them. The lower part of the shopfront and the lower part of the door are adorned with moulded panels.
