Description

Post Cottage is a pair of cottages, originally built in the early 19th century and now combined into a single dwelling. The construction utilizes hammer-dressed limestone with a Welsh slate roof. The building is divided into two sections: a lower, rear-entry wing on the left and a taller, central-hallway entry cottage to the right. The left section has one window on the first floor, while the right section has two. The left section features casement windows, whereas the right section has a 6-fielded-panel door with glazed upper panels, flanked by casement windows under segmental arches. All first-floor windows are casements. Both sections have a swept roof, and the building has end stacks. Group value is present due to its contribution to the historic character of the area.
