Description

This is a dovecote located approximately 100 metres southeast of Cowling Hall, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed from ashlar, rubblestone, and red brick, and has a square plan with a chamfered rubblestone plinth. The west elevation features a central door with a chamfered stone surround and a segmental head. Above the door is a square opening, which was originally circular, with only the stone dressings to the right still intact. The dovecote has stepped eaves. Inside, all the pigeon boxes remain, with a brick band below each row.
