Description

This boundary stone, located approximately 1 metre east of Scots Dyke, dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is made of sandstone ashlar and measures about 300 millimetres wide and 400 millimetres high, featuring a four-centred arched top. The front face is inscribed with the words "EASBY ROAD ENDS HERE." This stone marks the historic boundary between the parish of Easby and the Borough of Richmond.
