Description

This boundary stone, located at Gravelly Hill approximately 400 metres north of the road, dates from the mid to late 18th century. It is made of gritstone and stands about 80 centimetres high with a flat top. The north side features the inscription 'T. F.', while the south side has 'E. L.'. This stone is part of a series that marks the boundary between the Farnley (Fawkes) and Harewood (Lascelles) estates and is situated at the junction of the parishes of Castley, Weeton, and Stainburn.
