Description

This building is a block of houses located at 41, 43, and 45 Windsor Lane and 16 and 18 Iles Lane, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed square limestone with a Westmoreland slate roof. The structure is three storeys high and features four first-floor windows, with the one on the right being blind.

A rounded arched passage entrance is situated to the left of centre, flanked by 20th-century doors that have choldered wedge lintels. To the right of the passage, there is a six-panel door with a shouldered wedge lintel positioned between the windows. The windows throughout the building are four-pane sashes with projecting sills, and both the ground and first-floor windows have shouldered wedge lintels. The roof is hipped, with brick stacks located to the left and above the door on the right.

On the right return, which faces Iles Lane, the building has three bays. The left bay is part of the Windsor Lane row, with two additional bays to the right. There is one six-panel door and one 20th-century door, each accessed by six steps. A blocked door is present to the left, and four-pane stacks are spaced along the ridge. The rear of the building features brick for Nos 16 and 18 Iles Lane, along with some 20th-century alterations.
