Description

East Lilling Farmhouse is a late 18th-century brick house situated off the New Road, south of Lilllings Ambo. The brick is laid in Flemish bond, and the roof is covered in pantiles. The house has a central hallway entrance and is two storeys high, with three bays. It features a six-panel door with an overlight. Plate glass sash windows are found throughout, set beneath flat brick arches. The eaves have a dentilled course, and the gables have shaped kneelers and end stacks. An iron tie-plate bearing the initials 'R. H.' is visible on the left gable end. Inside, the house has six-fielded-panel doors throughout, an arch with moulded imposts in the hallway, and H-L hinges to a cupboard under the stairs. The roof structure consists of coupled rafters with queen posts.
