Description
A row of three houses on High Street, dating from the late 18th century. The houses are constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with Westmorland slate roofs to numbers 120 and 122, and stone slate to number 118. They have two storeys and seven first-floor windows in total.
Numbers 120 and 122, on the left side, each have a door to the left and right of the central window. There are three steps leading to the six-panel doors, each of which has a fanlight and a stone architrave and cornice. Round-arched passage entrances with six-panel doors are found at the extreme left and right. The ground floor features three 16-pane bowed sashes with glazing bars and moulded cornices. The first floor has 16-pane recessed sashes, all with projecting stone sills and incised wedge lintels. A stone eaves gutter runs along the top. Central and end ridge stacks are present.
Number 118, on the right, has an elliptical stone carriage arch on the right side, with an entrance door in the left wall. To the left of the carriage arch is a 16-pane bowed sash with a cornice. The first floor has two 16-pane sashes, similar to those in numbers 120 and 122. The roofline is lower than the adjacent houses. A stack on the left is attached to a stack belonging to number 120.
