Description

Grimbald Bridge over the River Nidd is a bridge built in the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared gritstone and features two round arches. The pointed cutwaters on both sides rise as pilasters to support the triangular-section parapet coping. There is a band at road level. The bridge is referenced in works by B Jennings and H Speight.
