Description

Wold View is an early 19th-century house situated on the west side of Village Street, Thorpe Bassett. The house is constructed of dressed limestone with quoins, a plinth, and a brick eaves course. It has a pantile roof and brick stacks. The design is of a central-staircase plan, with one room deep and a rear service wing. The front facade has two storeys and three windows. The central door consists of six raised and fielded panels, with the two upper panels glazed. There are 16-pane sash windows throughout, with painted stone sills. All openings are topped with cambered arches. The roof features coped gables and shaped kneelers. Brick stacks are positioned at each end of the house. Plain railings and a garden gate are attached to the front of the property.
