Description
Easingtown Barn is an agricultural building dating to the late 18th century or early 19th century, possibly designed by John Foss of Richmond. It has loose boxes on the ground floor and a granary on the first floor. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with a stone slate roof. It is two storeys high, with two windows on the first floor. Features include a plinth and quoins. A board door is set within a quoined ashlar surround between the bays. The ground-floor windows have pointed-arched ashlar surrounds with lattice shutters. The first-floor windows are shuttered and have ashlar surrounds with segmental-pointed flat-arched lintels. An ashlar coping runs along the top, with a weather-vane on the right side. The rear elevation is of similar design, with a pointed-arched doorway and a three-pane fanlight. The right return has three pointed-arched windows: the lower two have lattice shutters, and the top one is shuttered.
