Description

The Lilacs is a house dating from the mid-18th century, located on the north side of Church Street in Bellerby. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has three storeys and three bays. A central 20th-century glazed porch conceals a 20th-century glazed door set within an ashlar surround, which includes a pulvinated frieze and cornice. The windows are framed with ashlar surrounds, with casements on the ground floor, sashes on the first floor, and smaller casements on the second floor. There are brick stacks at each end of the house.
