Description
The First Amorini Statue, located approximately 70 metres south of Sheriff Hutton Hall at the end of the garden wall, dates from around 1638 and is likely the work of Andrew Karne. This limestone statue stands about 2.5 metres high and features a coved plinth and a pedestal with blind panels and a moulded cornice. Atop the pedestal are two quarrelling amorini. The statue is referenced in Gilbert C.'s works on Sheriff Hutton Hall from 1965 and 1966.
